Wizard's Way Series
Wizard's Way is both a large and small scale mental health and educational delivery system. It is designed to meet the needs of school professionals, health professionals, as well as the home and therapist settings.
The program was developed to maximize a child's therapeutic experience through understanding and appropriately expressing his or her feelings. The other program objective was to reduce a child's resistance to the therapeutic process through a playful and contemporary design.
This highly effective program helps children ages 4-14 faced with behavioral, emotional and motivational problems.
It bridges the distance between conventional and innovative therapies with its metaphors and entertaining language that delight children.
Using Wizard's Way maintains discipline in a playful sensitive manner that reduces peer power struggles and authority figure conflicts. Its positive approach enhances motivation and maturation for the child.
Wizard's Way Legacy
If this "game" helps our children relate to each other and lifts a sense of stigma about emotional needs, then it will fulfill its mission. Research by criminologists and behavioral experts conclude that early prevention programs diminish violent behavior in children.
By implementing the Wizard's Way program early in a child's life in multiple settings, we may be making a significant contribution to preventing youth tragedies.
