How Wizard's Way Benefits School Professionals
School professionals will appreciate the multi-modality approaches to the learning disabled child. They will feel assured that their students will progress in a program that is geared to their respective capacities for learning.
Developed and written by Dr. Alters and two very skilled special education teachers Debra Faris-Cole and Maryann Darcy-Collins who molded the basic program into a teacher/pupil friendly environment. The Wizard's Way school version integrates an interdisciplinary educational team interaction and improves communication.
The program provides teachers and counselors with powerful, organized contemporary tools and is a turnkey system. Students gain problem solving techniques, coping skills, self-esteem, self-control, and social skill strategies.
The program includes complete daily lesson plans, daily schedules, and all record keeping forms for a complete school year. The conflict resolution component of the program helps to reduce violence in the classroom. Schools that participate can maintain a hospital quality program in the least restrictive setting.
